Many of Chanel�s older (vintage) handbags have specific markings (that differ to a varying degree), etched into the authentic Chanel's frontal zipper mechanism (the part controlling the zipper's teeth):

[YKK is commonly known for it�s implication on Coach handbags. It was once a great tell for spotting a fake handbag, but naturally the counterfeiters adapted, and some have counterfeited the YKK zippers as well.
