An everyday encounter. At first glance the wallet may look alright. There may be no glaringly obvious red flags waving, and everything may look reasonable in the seller feedback area. However... Note: Remember when viewing feedback, what the feedback is credited for means everything. A seller may have a great feedback score of 400, but if 375 of the positives are for being a buyer, then that is really a seller feedback score of 25. Therefore that adjusted feedback score of 25 should be the number calculated when doing a seller assessment. What if the seller has 400 positives for selling? Thats Wonderful. However, the item or item category the seller had accumulated the feedback score in also matters. If a seller with 400 positives had acquired the bulk of those by selling toy trains, then the feedback score should only be used when assessing the customer service, shipping time, return policy etc. However, do not grant any authority pertaining to the authenticity of a Louis Vuitton handbag to this seller. Meaning if they do not have a history with Louis Vuitton, do not take their word for it. They may not even be trying to deceive, they just may be unaware. They could have acquired the bag from a family member and are assuming it is real based on what they have been told. Bottom line, the less history a seller has with Louis Vuitton, the less what they say in the listing matters. ...When drilling down into the pictures details, the whole story will begin to surface. Below is an image of a used Louis Vuitton wallet [?] inside and out: LV I LV II The pattern (LV I) looks a little right shifted, but other than that, this is a basic picture a buyer may find in many pre-ownded Louis Vuitton Listings. But when we increase the magnification, and drill down into the details, all sorts of ugly shows itself. Starting with the stitch lines: As you will see (below) the stitch lines are horrific in places. Under closer inspection, the wallet is confirmed fake. Below are images of the stitch line in a couple places: Note: The stitch lines in both these pictures have abnormalities. In the first image (left), the stitch line is inconsistently spaced in relation to the edge of the wallet. It seems to be on its way to fly off the wallet, then takes a hard right away from the edge (circled), and attempts to get back on course. All while creating a mess of a stitch line. Note: This second image (left) is much the same as the first, except in this stitch line, it seems to veer too far into the center of the wallet, and then takes an abrupt vertical leap to get back on course along the edge of the wallet. Both stitching mishaps are virtually unnoticeable from the original overhead images. The idea of these images is to get the buyer in the habit of looking at the tiny details of the merchandise. Not just the obvious. ebay Monogram Patent Leather Louis Vuitton Suhali Leather Steven Sprouse Collection Louis Vuitton Travel Bags Louis Vuitton Mens Bags Logo stamp/font: Here we pull open the wallet and take a closer look at the logo impression. The fonts are also incorrect, and the worst of the culprits have been underlined. First the L is overwhelming the O, in Louis. Normally the L has a shorter protruding leg, and the O is a little more round, rather than oval shaped. [For more detailed info on the Louis Vuitton font.] The N is a poor stamp impression bleeding a little. The S in Paris is also too overwhelming (wide), and finally the e in France, is bleeding all over itself. However, an authentic Louis Vuitton may have a little difficulty with the tiny e also, but would be much less dramatic. Date code dilema: The date code is another problem on this wallet to add to the already overwhelmingly convincing evidence that the wallet is counterfeit. Below is an image of the date code: Note: Here the mumbers M6 1667 do not seem to be valid according to the date code guide, M6 does not exist as a country code, and the 1667 does not correspond with any known dating system.
Damier Geant Canvas Bags Damier Granite Canvas Embossed Leather Louis Vuitton `Embossed Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Louis Vuitton Mahina Zipper Pull bend: On this wallet the zipper pull also looks to be bent in a strange way. Note: We are not 100% certain that this would never happen to a real Louis wallet, but it is something we have never encountered before. It looks like it was bent doing some dramatic openings, but we cannot say conclusively as to how this zipper pull got like this. It could be wear and tear, or it could be some manufacturing defect like the stitch lines etc, but whatever it is, something of this nature should obviously give rise to suspicion. Also, the LV logo itself may be slightly incorrect. F/N: Pictures lie and mislead. The original two pictures are just an example of what may lurk below an otherwise modest surface. Now the original wallet pictures are not great, but the point is they could be made to be. At least be doctored enough to fool. With a basic paint program, (no expensive photo shop needed), the wallet pictures could be tweaked in a way as to hide any problems that may be noticeable at a distance. However, any doctoring may also be detectable. And any detected doctoring would be a huge red flag. So the point of this exercise is to always remember to study the details. Sometimes it is not anything specific to the brand that will end up being the smoking gun-like bad stitch lines. tut ref:fashionphile/fattinifashion/ Louis Vuitton ebay Louis Vuitton Wallets LV Handbags Damier Geant Canvas Bags Damier Granite Canvas Embossed Leather Louis Vuitton `Embossed Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Louis Vuitton Mahina Monogram Patterns Louis Vuitton Monogram Cruise Louis Vuitton Monogram Damier Monogram Damier Leather Monogram Denim Monogram Denim Patchwork Monogram Graffiti Monogram Groom Monogram Leather Monogram Mini Lin Monogram Miroir - Mirror Monogram Multicolor Monogram Multicolore Monogram Roses Monogram Rubis Monogram Shearling Monogram Suede Monogram Vernis Monogram Watercolor Patent leather Monogram Patent Leather Suhali leather Louis Vuitton Suhali Leather Steven sprouse Steven Sprouse Collection Travel bags Louis Vuitton Travel Bags Mens Louis Vuitton Mens Bags Louis Vuitton Tutorial Sections: Louis Vuitton Monogram Pattern Louis Vuitton Font-Date Code Louis Vuitton Hardware Speedy 30 Stats L.V.
