Note: The U detail is subtle and nuanced. And determining the U_font blueprint with 100% certainty may be difficult. However, some distinct features seem to be evident within the U_fonts, and these may help you when deciphering the authenticity of Louis Vuitton.

I. Concerning the U_font in Louis (image I), the curve (approaching the baseline) does not curve smoothly. It has a (slight) sharp pivot point before the curve breaks.
II. Whereas the U_font in Vuitton (image II) curves smoothly into a crescent shape. This detail is extremely subtle, and may take a sharp eye or increase in image magnification to detect.

In images I and II above, the gradual vs. sharp pivot is demonstrated with the yellow lines. However, adding the yellow lines on such a subtle detail may become suggestive.
