This guide will focus primarily on the heat stamp and logos, drilling down into some of the symmetry details as well as the stitch lines. Stitch line symmetry is just as important as the symmetry of the label as the stamp impression itself. (Often times you will find errors in the stitching framing the label, but none on the actual stamp.

Note:The picture (left) displays the quality and symmetry of the leather stamp impression. The Louis Vuitton is nicely centered within the leather frame, along with Paris and made in France being centered within the top logo. Note the R symbol is also centered between the U and V in Vuitton.

(i) F/N: Also notice the stitches that frame the label at the edges of the leather. Between the L in Louis and the N in Vuitton, (outlined by the yellow lines), there the stitches start and end with a half stitch:

This is a good example of LV symmetry.

(ii) Also the stitches in the bottom corners of the leather label have slight south-east and south-west tilts.
(iii) Counting the stitches from the left and right (vertical) sides of the image we get: left [8.89] | Right [8]. Patching both numbers into our SpIT filter, assigning either side's stitch count to the handbag (x) variable, the SpI filter → Pass.
* Using the SpIT filter to compare SpI (stitches per inche/s) within the same handbag can also be a useful tool. Stitch lines at opposite points of the handbag that are representing the same area should not expand beyond a passable Spi range.
