Stitching: The stitch lines surrounding the label are clearly sloppy, irregular and out of order in places. This is a universal tell that can be applied to all designer handbags. On this specific bag, the phony Mulberry Roxanne, the stitch lines are noticably out of place, and this can be easliy determined without much inspection. Notice that the stitch lines clump up at the bottom of the label on the right side, and are spaced out wider on the far left side. This is an irregular pattern. Also, notice the sides of the label have an uneven number of stitch lines. The left side of the label has four stitches, and the right side has five stitches. And the overall stitch frame is uneven in places. Instead of having an equal amount of space between the stitch lines and the edge of the label for the entire square frame, there is irregular spacing throughout. The most notable comes when you compare the space at the bottom right corner of the label, to the bottom left corner of the label. Clearly the gap on the left is much wider than the gap on the right side. Also, the entire right vertical stitch line is crooked. Part of which is an optical illusion because the leather label itself is crooked at the edge. Zipper pull: The zipper pull located on the top left part of the picture has an element that is slightly off-center. The etched Mulberry tree is stamped too far to the left, and is touching the edge of the zipper pull. However, the right side of the Mulberry tree has space between it and the edge. This is another example of sloppy work. An etched logo on an authentic Mulberry Roxanne zipper pull would be centered within the edges of the hardware. Hardware: An authentic Mulberry Roxanne magnetic locking mechanism should not be completely flat, there should be a slight curve to the clasp. Many fakes have a completely flat magnetic locking mechanism.
